Dilo invented the structuring and patterning of preneedled needlefelts in the 1960s. In this process, special fork needles transport fibre loops from the needlefelt into a lamellar grid resulting in pile loops on the backside of the needlefelt. By using different needle arrangements and multi-coloured layers of needlefelts, a great variety of patterns can be realized. A programme-controlled lifting and lowering of the lamellar table allows three-dimensional designs, ideally used for carpets and door mats with patterns, ribcord, tufts, velour structures. High capacity structure loom for ribcord, velour type needle felts and advance patterns, 40 mm stroke, 1500 strokes/min, 6000 needles/lm, gauge 3.5 mm, automatic lubrication, temperature control, and lubricant discharge.
