This power plant consists of four Wartsila Oil Cube concept electric power generating units, each equipped with one 1.52 MW Wartsila 9L20 generating set. These units are designed to run with light diesel oil fuel (LFO) and heavy diesel oil (HFO) up to 350 cSt viscosity. Each 1.5 MW unit contains two 40-feet container, one accommodating generating sets, charge air system and a module with heat exchanger. The other container holds control cabinets, fuel and lube oil modules, radiator coolers and fuel auxiliaries. In addition, there is two containers for complete LV and MV cabinets. This is factory made, plug-and play power plant concept which can be installed and commissioned in few days’ time. This Wartsila Oil Cubes were manufactured in year 2009 but they were never installed. Wärtsilä Service kept them in top condition till 2019. Two containers for LV and MV cabinets are from year 2020

This is containerized stand-by unit designed for uninterrupted power supply for various key facilities like hospitals and data centres. Operation is fully automized, fuel is diesel fuel oil. Turbine is heavy duty, single saft and simple open cycle type. Unit was manufactured in June 2019 but it was never installed. Turbine is coupled with Toshiba 6600 V / 3000 kVA / 60 Hz generator.

Unfortunately We don’t have an official heat rate of this turbine, only attached procure. This turbine is same as type GPS 3000 and it is designed for emergency stand-by duty which means that the fuel consumption has not been the major target. According to this brochure GPS 3000 has electrical output of 2400 kW and fuel consumption is 1245 litres /hour. This will give us 0.519 litres / kWh. Specific wight of diesel oil is 0.8, this means fuel consumption is 415 grams / kWh electricity. This sounds realistic for this kind of turbine.

We just got this equipment for sale and due to travel restrictions, I have not been able to make my standard inspection and data collection. It is a complete power generation equipment with this genset, controls, motor starter cabinets, breaker, gas feeding system, heat recovery system, boiler, stack etc. There are no spare parts – they had a service contract with local MWM service. As you may know, this MWM TCG 2032 engine has long service intervals, the first 8000 hour service was made by local MWM service, next service is at 16 000 hours. The first major overhaul will occur at 80 000 operating hours. Very good condition, complete MWM 4.5 MW gas engine generating with 18 bar steam boiler and other auxiliaries. This equipment was installed in year 2014 and having only 8900 total operating hours. MWM engine is modern, high efficiency 16-cylider, 1000 rpm piston engine which is designed for base load operation. Gas fuel can vary from natural gas, landfill gas, sewage gas, mine gas, coke oven gas or biogases. This engine has log maintenance intervals and low lube oil consumption. Complete operation is controlled with MWM developed TEM EVO (Total Electronic Management) which controls entire system including the heat supply from cogeneration.
