Additional notes on the machines:
Normally Vortex 870 has 3 splicers and these have 4 on each machine
"""5 machines have polymaster"""
"""5 of the machines are set up with cotton nozzles. Crown attachment."""
"""Rest of the machines have Orient nozzles"""
"""2 machines with ECO nozzles"""
All machines are started and ran May 2026
Murata utilized this mill as a demonstration site for the MVS 870's capabilities and performance.
"""The machines have been maintained to a higher standard than comparable 2012 Murata Vortex MVS870"""
Service and optimization was performed directly by Murata; technical specialists were sent from Japan to modernize and upgrade the equipment, ensuring it remains in peak condition. These upgrades include:
Upgrading the entire splicer box, including additional sensors to enhance precision
Renewed drafting housing including the cradle gun
Unlike most machines from this production year (typically 5°57'), these units have been configured to the highly desired 4°20' conicity.
Updated doffer housing including the strengthening air cylinders
Emergency button added to the control panel
To address a known issue where main suction blowers default, over time, due to vibration and speed of the machines, Murata implemented a welded reinforcement method specifically for these units. This permanent fix eliminates the vacuum loss, specifically performed by Murata to improve and optimize these machines.
Traverse rods are fitted for 96 spindle machines even though these machines are 80 spindle, still providing optimized working speed and energy saving.
Ctrs requirement: 1 machine requires 1x40' Ctr.
