Old Mezzera jiggers are large, industrial textile machines used for dyeing and
finishing fabrics under high temperature and pressure, featuring two independent
electric motor drives, variable speed control with encoders for accuracy, PLC-based
tension control, sophisticated liquor circulation and heating systems, and specialized
equalizer mechanisms for handling delicate fabrics. While modern EFI Mezzera
jiggers are digitally controlled with AC vectorial inverters and load cells for real-time
tension compensation, older models might have used manual, hydraulic, or
mechanical drives and less advanced control systems.
